Keyser Construction is owner-run. Brandan Keyser is on every project, every phase, and the same small crew of five works your home from demo day to final walkthrough. That continuity is what most of our clients comment on, and it’s why we don’t subcontract the parts of a project we should be doing ourselves.

Brandan founded Keyser Construction in 1998 and has been remodeling and building Portland-area homes ever since. He runs the business out of West Linn, Oregon, and personally walks every project at every phase. After 28 years and hundreds of Portland-area projects, the approach that’s earned the most repeat clients is the simplest one: the same owner from initial consultation through final walkthrough, the same crew on the entire build, and a written estimate that reflects what the project will actually cost.
When Brandan isn’t on a job site, he’s reviewing estimates, walking clients through design decisions, and keeping the crew calibrated on the standards he expects on every project.

How we work
Keyser Construction is a small, owner-operated design-build outfit. We’re not a marketing-first contracting business with crews scattered across multiple projects. The crew that shows up to your house on day one is the crew you’ll see throughout the build, the inspections, and the punch list. Brandan is on site or available daily. There is no project manager between you and the person who’s actually making decisions about your home.
That’s a deliberate choice. It limits how many projects we can take on at one time, but it’s the only way to deliver the level of finish work and client experience we want to be known for.
Subcontractors and trades
For specialized work (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural engineering, hazmat abatement when required), we bring in licensed local subcontractors we’ve worked with for years. They’re not anonymous. We coordinate scope, schedule, and inspections, and we stand behind their work as part of our overall project warranty.
