Keyser Construction is a Portland, Oregon design-build firm owned and run by Brandan Keyser. We’ve been remodeling and building Portland-area homes since 1998. Twenty-five years and three economic cycles later, we’re still here, still owner-operated, and still doing the same kind of careful work we started with.
What we build
Kitchens. Bathrooms. Basements. Whole-home remodels. Single-room and two-story additions. Detached and attached ADUs. Mother-in-law suites. Outdoor living spaces. The occasional pole barn. New custom homes on infill lots. Handyman work for clients we’ve already worked with.
If it involves framing, finishes, or coordinating subs in a residential setting, we’ve probably done it.
How we work
Every project starts with a free, no-pressure walk-through. Brandan comes out, looks at the space with you, asks a lot of questions. A few days later you receive a written estimate that spells out the scope, the materials allowance, the timeline, and what’s specifically not included.
When you decide to move forward, the same small crew runs your job from demo through final punch list. No revolving subs. No surprise change orders dropped in your inbox without a conversation. When something on site needs to change, we talk first and get your sign-off.
What we hold ourselves to
- Owner on every job. Brandan is on site every day, not just at the kickoff and the handoff.
- Estimates that are real. If the estimate is $X, the bill is $X. Scope changes are documented and approved before they become charges.
- Clean sites. Tools put away, debris hauled out, floor protection down. You can live in part of the house through most projects.
- Workmanship guarantee. If something we did is wrong, we come back and fix it.
