Bathroom remodels that solve the real problem.
From a clean refresh to a full tear-down. We handle the demo, plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, tile, vanity, and finish work with our own crew, the same five people from kickoff to walkthrough.
Your bathroom shouldn't fight you every morning.
A bathroom that drains slowly, vents poorly, runs out of hot water, or fails on humidity is a bathroom that's costing you something every day. We rebuild Portland-area bathrooms with the kind of waterproofing, ventilation, and plumbing detail that holds up for the next twenty years.
What we include in a Keyser bathroom remodel
- Full tear-down or targeted refresh
- Custom tile showers (walk-in, curbless, soaking-tub combos)
- Vanities: custom, semi-custom, or stock; single or double
- Fixtures and finishes (toilets, faucets, shower trim, mirrors, lighting, hardware)
- Heated floors (electric radiant or hydronic)
- Layout changes (bath-to-shower, half-to-Jack-and-Jill, expand into a closet)
- Proper waterproofing (Schluter, RedGard, or equivalent)
- Plumbing and electrical updates to current code
Real credentials. Verifiable.
Keyser Construction has been remodeling and building Portland-area homes for decades. Every license and rating below is independently verifiable.
What we won't compromise on
Waterproofing first. A shower without a proper pan, vapor barrier, and slope to drain will fail within a few years even if it looks fine on day one. We use tested systems on every shower we build.
- Schluter Kerdi membrane or RedGard liquid-applied waterproofing
- Properly built shower pan with correct slope to drain
- Tile installation that doesn't shortcut at corners
- Bath fans sized for the actual room volume, vented outside
- Humidity-sensor or timer controls so the fan runs long enough
What we see behind the drywall in older Portland bathrooms
Most Portland-area bathrooms we work on were built between 1900 and the 1990s. The bones are typically good. Behind the drywall there's a predictable list:
- Galvanized supply lines reaching end of service life
- Cast iron drains in marginal condition
- Original electrical, often without GFCI protection
- Subfloor rot from a slow leak nobody noticed
- Vent fan that exhausts into the attic instead of outside
- Tile installed without a vapor barrier, slowly failing
We surface these in the estimate, not after the contract.
