Less is More

While the bathroom remodel in this Portland bungalow stayed within the original footprint the difference between the before and after pictures is startling.

By moving the header that once separated the room up and hiding it in the ceiling, the room is opened up and looks substantially larger.    The clean lines allow the small room to make the most of the space it has.    The shower, originally a basic prefabricated unit, was replaced with tile including the ceiling to allow the new custom glass shower surround to rise to ceiling height.

Finishes were chosen to give the room a classic feel with vintage touches such as the patterned floor tile and white subway tile.  This type of period sensitive remodel can merge easily with the details in the rest of the home and still bring the homeowner all the enjoyment of a modern space.
