Modern Lines

Creating a new space while salvaging existing materials has never looked better.  This project was a whole house renew that touched nearly the every room including the kitchen, master bathroom,  living room and even the staircase.

In the kitchen, the Allens chose to reface their lower cabinets, adding new taller uppers to match in a smooth modern style that makes maintenance a snap.  They added designer accents with large stainless steel pulls and frosted glass to break up the darker tone of the cabinets.  The large granite topped island has an overhang on one side to allow bar seating and contains the gas cooktop.

The fireplace was recreated with slate tile and a wide, off set, wood mantle to create a strong focal point in the livingroom that fit in with the over all remodel tones and colors.

The oak flooring was repaired, rather than replaced, with new boards being woven into the necessary areas.  Then the stair treads and ballisturs were  replaced and stained to match.
