Eastmoreland is a beautiful area in the Portland Metro with bungalows that have a lot of charm and character. When the Beards remodeled their master suite they opened the space up, removing load bearing walls, to create a large welcoming space. They kept that momentum going by connecting the bedroom to the bathroom with french doors that allow the light and views to move between the two rooms.
The larger space for the master allowed for a seating area at the end of the bed, wider walkways and a darker color on the walls to create a warm, cozy feeling of refuge.
The bathroom is full of luxury. A pedestal bathtub and freestanding tub filler with handheld shower wand, situated neatly below a large skylight is on one side of the bathroom and a spacious corner shower on the other. The shower, with custom glass walls, has incredible tile work with a built in bench. The two shower heads, located on opposite walls, a hand held on one, the shower head on the other, increases the flexibility of the space.
